Canadian multimedia artist Adamo Macri creates photographic and video installations based on sculptural work he creates. He interweaves themes such as synthesis of disparate components and procreation. The co-dependence of surface and content as it relates to skin and the visceral system, neither is more important, as one defines the other. He explores concepts such as the metaphysical aspect of vector symbols transforming into tangible substance, in relation to the process of an idea materializing into something concrete.

Two new animated shorts have been posted on REVVER.com, one of which relates to this concept entitled Alba Parts, described by him "created to rationalize the abstract concept of something with the capability to transmute vector symbols such as words or numbers into matter. To sublimate the seemingly demure into a sowing organic breakout." The second is titled Spout, a strangely unique poem dedicated to Ingmar Bergman in recognition and gratitude for his contribution to film.

Other updates. He has been recently selected by curator Liz Dummitt of Gumshoe New York to showcase work at Gawker Artists which is owned by the Gawker Media organization. "The media elite and pop-culture trends of the moment." [New York Times]. A handful of pictures have been recently posted of work created at his studio via flickr.com entitled "Adamo Macri Studio Visit".

Thank you for the information, I visited Adamo's website. It's beautiful and captivating as it's disturbing. The Portal section is intriguing, it's made up of short clips from different projects he's working on. They show the viewer preliminary sketches and ideas of how his work is conceived. Very cerebral and imaginative.

Yes, it's introspective, thought provoking and uninhibited. We get the feeling that we've entered his mind like in Being John Malkovich.

It's clever to show the development part. We rarely get to see that stuff. Incredible technique and imagery.
